From the mid 80s T-I to the SRT4. Mopar has been the leader in Turbo'd 4 cylinder cars. When Carroll Shelby
got involved the stakes got higher. The 86 GLHS cars were tested in a leading magazine at the time and shown to out perform
the original Shelby Mustangs in every way. Not bad for just a 2.2 litre. Shelby cars were the Omni, Charger, Daytona, Shadow,
Lancer and the V8 Dakotas and Durangos. Shelby also worked with Dodge on the 1st Vipers. SRT4s are the Neon based and now
the Caliber based 4 cylinder terrors.
